Function Centre - General Information
The cost to hire the Austinmer Surf Club Function Centre is
$1400*. This includes, where possible, access the day prior to your function
for setup; pre & post cleaning; use of tables and chairs as well as
glassware. The hire amount also includes a refundable bond of $400**. (Please
note surcharges apply for Sundays and Public Holidays.)
A condition of hiring the Function Centre is the hire of our
approved bar staff. For functions with less than 80 guests, there is a minimum
of 3 staff required. For guest numbers between 80 and 110 a minimum of 4 staff
are required. For guest numbers between 110 and 150 a minimum of 5 staff are
required. All ASLSC Function Centre bar staff are trained in the responsible service of alcohol (RSA) and are surf club members.
For staff costs please contact the Function Manager direct.
To make sure you can secure your preferred date, it is recommended
you contact the Function Manager at which time you will be advised if this
date is available. Then it just a matter of completing the relevant booking
form and forwarding it, together with a cheque or money order for $500 as the
deposit (cheques/money orders should be made payable to Austinmer Surf Club) to
PO Box 3018, Austinmer NSW 2515.
Please note, cancellations
of bookings are non refundable.
Vacating the premises: At the conclusion of your function there is
a half hour period prior to your nominated end time when last drinks are served,
music is turned off and lights on. It is during this half an hour where all
your guests must vacate the premises or additional costs will be incurred. All
personal belongings (including any remaining beverages - which are packed up by
the bar staff) must be removed at this time. No responsibility will be taken by the venue should items be left behind.
Austinmer SLSC Function Centre does NOT supply any alcohol or any
other beverages. These must all be provided by the hirer. (Please note, there
are no keg facilities at the Surf Club - all beer must be bottles or cans.)
The Function Centre has 11 round tables (1800dia - 10 seater) and
3 round tables (1500dia - 8 seater). Also available
are 4 rectangle trestle tables (750 x 1800; 750drop). There are also 4 x 900sq
cafe tables together with 120 white chairs. Linen is not provided by the
Function Centre and must be hired in.
Glassware available includes wine glasses; champagne flutes and
highball glasses. The Function Centre does not provide crockery; coffee/tea
cups & sauces or cutlery.
Austinmer S.L.S.C. does not allow 18th or 21st Birthday parties.
